Died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Heartland Health Care Center. He was born December 24, 1928, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the son of George and Lura (Withrowe) Ward. Mr. Ward was honorably discharged from the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. On August 10, 1966, he married Jane E. Smith in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and she survives. Harold was employed as a truck driver for many years. He was a loyal volunteer at Sasha Farms in Manchester, Michigan, for over 10 years and will always be remembered for his great love of cats. Surviving besides his wife Jane include one daughter, Judy Smith of Ypsilanti Twp., and many friends. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Belleville at a later date.
